GotPrint responded, refusing to admit the fault is not cutting on the cut line.

I ordered 500 cards using a template I had used with GotPrint Previously. This time they misaligned the image, cutting outside the cutline on two sides giving a blue card two unwanted white borders.

They refuse to admit their mistakes, even though their own images show where the cutlines were agreed upon. I will not deal with them again.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $39.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

GotPrint Pros: Advertisement of modest prices, Fact they they actually answered my complaint to them.

GotPrint Cons: Quality of the final product.

this company is horrible they have so many complaints all over the web and they take zero responsibility for their errors ,i will be warning everyone to stay away

When we print products such as business cards and postcards, we do not print on paper of that size. We gang-run print, which means that we organize several print jobs next to one another on a large sheet of paper, print, and then trim each individual product to its final size.

Jobs cannot be trimmed perfectly on the trimming line each time. During the trimming process, a product may be trimmed within or beyond the trimming line. As a result, the product may have a white edge, or a portion of the artwork from the surrounding jobs. Thus, we require a bleed on each individual product so that when the product is trimmed, there is an extra margin to prevent imperfections.

The previous order you submitted did have the background color extend all the way to the bleed line. Thank you

Hello, I am sorry if the product you received did not meet your expectations, however the reason for the issue is that the submitted files are missing bleed, for rounded corner cards we recommend that you provide us with a .325 bleed to avoid any uneven white borders. As you can see on the picture that was uploaded, the files are at cut size, and they are missing bleed.

We do see a previous order placed back in April 2018 was submitted with correct bleed recommendations. Unfortunately as the issue was not due to a printing error, we would not be able to offer you a refund or a reprint. Our Quality Control department did however offer you a promotional code towards a future order as a courtesy.

Robert Lackey Faulty product will be returned using RMA 8516****. It is not a print problem, nor a design problem.

It is a manufacturing problem. You were able to cut inside the lines with my previous order using the same layout, but not able this time. Thank you for the lasting experience with GotPrint. Please note readers: I had to pay for the return postage, which meant I paid twice for shipping a product of no use to me.

There are MANY other business Card printers out there. Good luck!
